The National Park Visitors' Centre is in La Palmita, at a place known as Juego de Bolas, in the borough of Agulo in the north of La Gomera. The building reflects the Canarian style of architecture and in its interior are three exhibition halls where a very complete range of information about the National Park and the island are on display, including information panels, photographs, monitors, maps, scale models and other audio-visual aids. Books on a variety of topics can be bought in the Centre's bookshop and in addition, there are regular projections of a film which summarises in images the varied landscapes and culture of both the Park and the island.
Outside in the botanical gardens, there is an example representation of the flora of the Canaries and many species unique to La Gomera, as well as the plants used locally as medicines and for seasoning the traditional cuisine.

The Ethnographic Museum exhibits numerous facts of the traditional culture: the interior of a peasant's dwelling, farming implements, a wine cellar, historic buildings and the whistling language. The handicraft workshops on the complex allow us to see "in situ" how different natural materials are used: clay, banana stems, palm fronds and also the working of the traditional looms. The Centre is open daily, including public holidays, from 9.30 am to 4.30 pm.
